Trout and Grayling Selection

Reservoir selection
In this section of my blog site you will find a list of tying notes for “Flies that catch fish”. These are pattens that have proved to be effective in real fishing situations. This means that they have been used to successfully catch large numbers of trout, grayling or salmon and are dependable “go to” patterns. Therefore, if you don’t have any such patterns of your own or if you are confused by the vast number of flies featured in flyfishing books then this is a good place to start.
The flies will be tied by Hereford Branch of the Fly Dressers’ Guild throughout the year. Please check the calendar of events for the specific evening when a pattern will be demonstrated and individual coaching given.
