Hay to Bredwardine

There are many famous fisheries on this section of the middle Wye which runs from Hay-on-Wye to Bredwardine, perhaps the most well-known is Upper Winforton, which includes the Cow Pond where Doreen Daly landed the largest fish ever caught on the Wye in 1923. It was 59.5 lbs and was 52.5 inches long.

Other fisheries on this stretch include Whitney Court, Letton Court and Red Lion. All still produce a few salmon when the conditions are right and the salmon are running through.
